FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo Cass Public Health is dealing with some disruptions after a water line broke early Wednesday, but officials said clinic services, including WIC, are still in full operation.
The broken line, which carries clean water, was discovered around 6 a.m. after staff found water in the building located at 1240 25th Street S.
In an email, Fargo Director of Communications & Governmental Affairs Gregg Schildberger said the line is in an exterior wall and runs to an outdoor spigot. He said the line was frozen and, as it thawed, it burst.
Interior work spaces and office areas were affected. Staff impacted by the broken line have been relocated within the building or transitioned to remote work.
Contractors were working to clean up the water and assess the damage.
