COTTAGE GROVE, Minn. – The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a crash on Highway 61 in Cottage Grove that left two people dead and two hospitalized Sunday morning.
The patrol says 95-year-old Julia Bild of Cottage Grove was driving southbound in the northbound lanes when her car collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 66-year-old Charles Tentinger from Prescott, Wisconsin. Bild died at the scene and a passenger in the other vehicle – 32-year-old Tanya Mott of Lakeville – was also killed.
Tentinger and 64-year-old Carol Ann Tentinger were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
