CROOKSTON, Minn. (KFGO) – A hacked Facebook account has led to numerous complaints of people being defrauded in a concert-ticket scam.
According to the Polk County, Minnesota Sheriff’s Office, several people are using the account of Hailey Trautner, who claims to have Taylor Swift tickets for sale. Victims are asked to send payment for the tickets electronically using Zelle or Paypal, but the tickets never arrive.
Facebook won’t allow Trautner to close the account since contact information and passwords have been changed and it can’t verify her identity. The Sheriff’s Office is trying to get the account closed.
Anyone who has been a victim of the scam should contact the Sheriff’s Department in Crookston.
