GRAND FORKS, N.D. – A piece of art that disappeared from outside a Grand Forks museum last October has been found.
The North Dakota Museum of Art said the Garden Wheel disappeared from their garden last Halloween weekend. The sculpture has been there since the late 1990s.
Last week, the University of North Dakota Police Department reported that two people spotted it leaning up against a dumpster behind the Southgate Casino Bar and Grill.
Although the artwork has some damage, museum officials believe it is repairable.
The Museum started a GoFundMe campaign to replace the sculpture, but will close the campaign and use the funds to fix the sculpture.
The museum has been in contact with the artist – Elizabeth MacDonald about possible repairs.
