MINNEAPOLIS – A Minneapolis man will spend over six-and-a-half years in prison for the armed carjacking of a preacher who was handing out bottled water to the homeless.
The criminal complaint said Dwight Eaglehawk, 34, approached the victim in a parking lot in south Minneapolis. Eaglehawk requested two bottles of water, demanded the victim’s car at gunpoint, and then fled.
Eaglehawk pleaded guilty on June 20.
