ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO) – A White Earth man has been sentenced after investigators found large amounts of meth and cocaine hidden in his truck.
Federal prosecutors say Dominic Lafriniere, 51, was under investigation for drug activity dating back to 2022.
The investigation later resumed in January 2024, when he was arrested for having 13 grams of meth.
A few months later, White Earth Tribal Police stopped Lafriniere as he was returning to the White Earth Reservation from Minneapolis.
Investigators searched his pickup and found 900 grams of meth hidden inside a hollowed-out log and 60 grams of cocaine tucked inside a rolled-up carpet.
Prosecutors say lafriniere planned to distribute the drugs. He was sentenced Thursday to 10 years in federal prison.
