OAKES, N.D. The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the victim of a rollover crash in Dickey County as 33-year-old Douglas Cavalier of Britton, South Dakota.
The crash happened early Sunday morning about four miles southeast of Oakes, North Dakota. Cavalier was driving down Highway 11 at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his SUV. He entered the ditch, over-corrected and the vehicle rolled. Cavalier was ejected.
The patrol says alcohol and drugs were a factor in the crash.
