BOZEMAN, Mont. (NDSU Athletics)– The North Dakota State men’s basketball team dropped a non-conference game at Montana State on Tuesday night, losing 68-49.
The Bison trailed 21-20 with 6:30 left in the first half when the Bobcats strung together a 9-0 run to go up 30-20. Montana State led 36-24 at halftime and maintained a lead of at least 10 points throughout the second half.
The margin was 12 at 57-45 with 5:30 remaining before Montana State scored 11 straight points.
Jarius Cook scored 17 points to lead the Bison, and Tyree Eady pulled down eight rebounds.
NDSU committed 16 turnovers in the game that led to 24 Bobcat points. Montana State shot 44 percent compared to 33 percent for the Bison.
RaeQuan Battle scored 16 points to lead four Bobcats in double figures.
NDSU fell to 5-4 on the season, while Montana State improved to 6-4.
NDSU will return home to host CSU Northridge on Friday, Dec. 10, and Indiana State on Monday, Dec. 13.
