BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. – A Brooklyn Park man was charged Friday for the theft of multiple bonsai trees last year.
The trees are worth between $9,000 to $14,000 and anywhere from 80 to 250 years old. The first theft occurred in Hopkins in late August. Eventually, the suspected thief stole an inexpensive tree with a G-P-S tracker inside which led police to him.
Despite the arrest, none of the trees have been recovered.
