MINNEAPOLIS (KFGO) – State investigators have forwarded their investigation to prosecutors in the police shooting of 22-year-old Amir Locke, killed when a SWAT team stormed a downtown Minneapolis high-rise apartment using a no-knock warrant.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says the case is now at the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office, with Attorney General Keith Ellison to decide whether officer Mark Hanneman, who fatally shot Locke, will be charged.
Locke was not named as a subject of the search warrant.
