FARGO (KFGO) – A Fargo man has been arrested for a deadly drive-by shooting in Fargo, more than two years after the crime.
Police and the Red River Valley SWAT Team arrested 29-year-old Jesse Burnett at a home in the Greenfields Development, in the 1900 block of 53rd Ave. S Friday morning.
Burnett is charged with intentional murder, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment in the Aug. 28, 2020 shooting of 41-year-old Santino Marial outside an apartment garage. 30-year-old Joshua brooks of Fargo was arrested late last month. Brooks is also charged with murder and assault.
“I want to commend the hard work and dedication of our detectives, investigators, officers and law enforcement partners throughout the duration of this case,” Police Chief Dave Zibolski said.
Captain George Vinson of the Criminal Investigation Division added, “This was a two-year effort that involved numerous tips, leads and countless hours of investigative work. This is a significant step in securing justice for the Marial family.”
Burnett was arrested when a high-risk search warrant was served shortly before 10 a.m.
