MOORHEAD, Minn. (KFGO) – Law enforcement in Moorhead, MN have completed their first day of “Busted by the Bus” and cited 14 people with distracted driving. Officers rode in school busses to spot drivers violating Minnesota’s distracted driving laws, then other officers would pull them over.
Law enforcement are using the program to draw attention to distracted driving.
Minnesota lawmakers passed a “hands free” bill earlier this month that goes into effect August 1st.
