ST. PAUL, Minn. – Police are investigating the city’s 40th homicide after a man was found shot to death in an alley on Wednesday.
Just before midnight, a 911 caller reported shots fired on the 500 block of Lawson Avenue on the east side of the city.
When officers arrived, they found a man in an alley suffering from gunshot injuries. Paramedics tried to save him, but he died at the scene.
Investigators are looking for witnesses and other evidence to determine what led up to the shooting, and who is responsible for the man’s death.
Police said the Video Management Unit will be searching the area for any video footage.
The Ramsey County Medical examiner is expected to release the name and age of the victim and their exact cause of death.
