DULUTH, Minn. – A small plane crashed into the St. Louis River Friday afternoon near Grassy Point in Duluth.
According to officials, the body of a 52-year-old man from Hermantown was been found. He was the only person in the plane. No one else was hurt.
The St. Louis County Rescue Squad was on-scene along with multiple supporting agencies within the Twin Ports.
According to flight tracking site Flight Radar 24, the plane is a Cirrus SR22. The reason for the crash is under investigation.
