FARGO (KFGO) – KFGO Meterorologist Tom Szymanski is looking for 2-4 inches of snow in the Fargo-Moorhead area with wind gusts beyond 50 mph Wed.
Much of eastern North Dakota and sections of northwestern and west-central Minnesota will be under a blizzard warning that goes into effect at 3 a.m. Wed., continues through the day and into the late evening Wed. Szymanski says wind-chills could drop to -30 or colder.
The wind, from the north-northwest, is expected to vary from about 27 mph to nearly 55 mph. There will be blowing snow and sharply reduced visibility. Wed. night, Szymanski is calling an overnight low of -14. The high Thurs., Christmas Eve, will be near 0.
For Christmas Day, the temperature should reach about 20 with a partly sunny sky.
