MINOT, N.D. (KFGO ) – Fire damaged a home in southwest Minot Sunday night.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they found the deck and the back of the home at 907 1st Ave SW on fire. The blaze had burned its way up the back of the house and an upstairs bathroom window had broken, allowing smoke to enter the house.
The Minot Fire Department says crews extinguished the flames on the outside of the home while other firefighers entered to search for occupants and put out the fire inside. No occupants were found and the fire was extinguished. Utility companies were called to shut off services to the home.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
