MOORHEAD (KFGO) – The search for a man wanted for murder in a Becker County shooting extended to Moorhead Tuesday night when police and agents with the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension served a warrant at an apartment building.
They were looking for 40-year-old Michael Croud of Ogema. He was not there. Croud has been charged with 2nd-degree murder for shooting 35-year-old David Hanks, Jr. of Park Rapids on Sunday night in the village of Pint Point on the White Earth Reservation. Hanks was in a car when he was shot.
Red River Valley Swat, the Clay and Becker County Sheriff’s Departments, White Earth Tribal Police and the West Central Drug Task Force assisted with the search on 18th St. S.
