TRENTON, WI – A man from Red Wing is dead after a motorcycle crash Saturday evening just across the Minnesota border in western Wisconsin.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office says a northbound cycle driven by 58-year-old Michael Cardell went into the southbound lane of U-S Highway 63 to avoid slow traffic and collided with an S-U-V.
Deputies say Cardell was thrown from his motorcycle and died at the scene.
A passenger in the S-U-V was taken to a Red Wing hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
