Grand Forks, N.D. – North Dakota will host Northern Arizona on Saturday. Kickoff between the Fighting Hawks and Lumberjacks is set for 3 p.m. (CT) inside the Alerus Center. The game carried on the Home of Economy Radio Network with a pregame show starting at 2 p.m. (CT).
Last weekend, North Dakota scored 27 unanswered points in the third quarter and defeated Drake, 55-7, inside the Alerus Center. The Fighting Hawks accumulated 652 yards of total offense in the game, racking up 364 yards through the air and 288 yards on the ground. It was the most offensive yardage put up by UND since Oct. 23, 2021.
The Lumberjacks enter the contest after falling 38-3 at Arizona last weekend. Kai Millner went 14-for-22 passing for 166 yards to lead the offense. NAU finished with 264 yards of total offense, while allowing 478 yards. Northern Arizona ate up over 35 minutes of clock in the game.
This will be the ninth all-time meeting between UND and NAU, with the Lumberjacks holding a 5-3 edge in the series. Last season, the Hawks escaped Flagstaff with a 27-24 victory and the lead changed twice in the final 1:42. Half the games in the series between the two squads have been decided by a touchdown or less.
