FARGO (KFGO) — Fargo firefighters were able to quickly knock down a storage unit fire late Tuesday afternoon.
Red River Regional Dispatch got the call to 1001 23rd St S just before 4:45 p.m. The caller reported a camper in one of the units caught fire. The fire spread to other units, and at least two propane tanks were heard exploding. Thick, black smoke and flames were visible when crews arrived.
The fire was under control within about 20 minutes of firefighters arriving on scene. About 12 storage units sustained significant fire and smoke damage.
No one was hurt in the blaze. A damage estimate is not available. The cause is under investigation.
Fargo Fire responded with five engines, a ladder truck, and two command vehicles. Sanford Ambulance, Fargo Police, Red River Regional Drone Team, and Salvation Army assisted on scene.
