MONTEVIDEO, Minn. – A head-on crash Tuesday evening in western Minnesota’s Chippewa County left multiple people injured, including several juveniles, and prompted a large emergency response.
Authorities say Chippewa County Dispatch received a 911 call around 5:20 p.m. for a report of a collision on River Road just south of Gravel Road in Montevideo.
People in one of the vehicles were trapped. One adult and five juveniles from that vehicle were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. The driver suffered severe injuries and was airlifted to a hospital.
The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.
