LAS VEGAS, Nev. (KFGO/Minnesota News Network) – Allegiant Airlines announces nonstop, seasonal flights from Grand Forks International Airport to Orlando Sanford International Airport.
They begin in February 10 and go until April 17 with fares starting at $69. Tickets are on sale now.
“We are very excited to hear Allegiant will be operating flights to Orlando-Sanford for the 2027 spring break season,” Executive director of Grand Forks International Airport Ryan Riesinger said. “This has been a popular route, and we are sure it will be welcomed by our passengers. Thanks to Allegiant for their continued long-term partnership at GFK!”
Travelers flying out of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport will have fewer Sun Country flights to choose from this fall.
Thrifty Traveler Executive Editor Kyle Potter said the Allegiant-owned airline is cutting its September schedule by about one-third from its previously planned schedule, with some destinations dropped altogether.
Allegiant said a shortage of pilots is behind the reductions, which could continue through the end of the year.
Potter said fewer flights and less competition with Delta could eventually lead to higher airfares at MSP.
