SHELDON, N.D. (KFGO) – The response was quick to a fire Monday night in Sheldon in southeastern North Dakota.
Within minutes of the call, 18 firefighters the Enderlin-Sheldon Fire Dept. and eight EMS personnel were enroute. They had just completed a scheduled training session.
The fire started on the outside of a building next to the fire hall. The fire extended into the building after it spread from a used oil disposal tank and gas tank. The blaze was brought under control with 15 minutes.
A man was working on a vehicle inside the building when the blaze started. No one was hurt. A picture from the scene shows a fire engine in the driveway of the fire hall. Fire crews extended a hose from the engine to the neighboring building.
Ringdahl Ambulance Service and Ransom County deputies also responded to the scene.
