Several people detained by federal officers in eastern North Dakota

MAYVILLE, N.D. (KFGO) – Seven people were detained by ICE and Border Patrol agents in Mayville Thurs. morning.

Traill County Sheriff Steve Hunt says his department assisted the federal officers. Hunt says some of those detained were in a car that was stopped on Highway 200 while the others were in a vehicle that pulled into the parking lot of a Mayville business.

U.S. Attorney Nick Chase says most immigration cases are non-criminal and his office has not been given any information on the case.
