WEST FARGO (KFGO) – West Fargo Police say three people were arrested after an early morning pursuit this weekend. Shamuel Caicedo, 20, and Yohandri Ortega-Jimenez, 22, both of Venezuela were arrested along with a juvenile passenger.
Police say the pursuit happened around 5 a.m. Saturday morning after the group fled following an attempted traffic stop for a violation. During the pursuit, police stopped the car using spike strips. The group ran from the car at the intersection of 45th St S and 17th Ave S, they were arrested after a short foot pursuit.
Shamuel Caicedo, 20
Caicedo was arrested for fleeing an officer and felony reckless endangerment. Ortega-Jimenez was arrested for fleeing. In addition to the charges, they’re being held in the Cass County Jail at the request of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The juvenile will be referred to juvenile court for charges.
Nobody was injured during the pursuit.
