BEMIDJI, Minn. (KFGO) – A Duluth man suffered life threatening injuries after being hit by a Bemidji Police vehicle early this morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened around 1:10 this morning in Bemidji.
Investigators say the squad car was traveling north when it struck Michael Brown, 36. The Bemidji Police Department says Brown was wearing all black and standing in the middle of the road. The State Patrol says they believe Brown was under the influence of alcohol.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the condition of the officer.
Brown was taken to Sanford Hospital in Bemidji.
The driver of the squad car was not hurt.
