FARGO (KFGO) – A Fargo man is facing multiple felony charges after threatening cops that arrested him for DUI Sunday.
Court documents say officers watched Mitchell Biela stumble as he got out of his vehicle at the Baymont Inn in Fargo. Officers say they arrested Biela because he smelled of Alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.
While officers were trying to arrest Biela, he reportedly tried kicking them and kicked the door of a squad car so hard it left a dent. Court documents say while in the car, Biela was banging his head in the backseat so hard he injured his forehead.
Biela was then taken to a hospital where he allegedly told officers he was going to shoot and kill them before spitting on a cop. After he was cleared at the hospital he was taken to the Cass County Jail.
Court Documents say more than three hours after he was arrested, Biela blew a blood alcohol content of 0.12.
Biela could be charged with two counts of terrorizing, preventing arrest, criminal mischief, DUI and contact by bodily fluids.
